Automatic Text Summarization (ATS) is one of the utilizations of technological sophistication in terms of text processing assisting humans in producing a summary or key points of a document in large quantities. We use Indonesian language as objects because there are few resources in NLP research using Indonesian language. This paper utilized PLTMs (Pre-Trained Language Models) from the transformer architecture, namely T5 (Text-to-Text Transfer Transformer) which has been completed previously with a larger dataset. Evaluation in this study was measured through comparison of the ROUGE (Recall-Oriented Understudy for Gisting Evaluation) calculation results between the reference summary and the model summary. The experiments with the pre-trained t5-base model with fine tuning parameters of 220M for the Indonesian news dataset yielded relatively high ROUGE values, namely ROUGE-1 = 0.68, ROUGE-2 = 0.61, and ROUGE-L = 0.65. The evaluation value worked well, but the resulting model has not achieved satisfactory results because in terms of abstraction, the model did not work optimally. We also found several errors in the reference summary in the dataset used

This paper presents a brief overview of the e-learning concept, elearning history, technology and future, Virtual Classes, adaptive e-learning and case study. The development in the cyber learning is being so rapid in these systems. The features of adaptive learning are emphasized by comparing it with the other elearning systems. It is clear from the paper that adaptive learning has various aspects and will lead to a new era in learning. Using the best suitable e-learning tool depends on the learning group and the space of learning. Adaptive learning enhances the learning ability by customizing the learning objects to the student needs and mapping it directly to the learning domain

Arabic language teaching evaluation process for non-native speakers

    No full text
Teaching languages in general and teaching Arabic to non-native speakers, in particular, have had two attempts to create a standardized test to assess language proficiency in Arabic for non-native speakers. This research is a comparative and descriptive study of the reality of the achievement tests carried out by An-Najah National University in Palestine at the College of Arts, Department of Arabic Language Teaching Non-Native Speakers, as it has been the leading educational institution established in the State of Palestine for decades. The need for courses on preparing the correct tests for students comes through seminars or conferences or a direct meeting between the teacher and the authors of questions for the Arabic language test for speakers of other languages. The preparation of the exam requires a specific skill and knowledge of the circumstances of the learners and the variations between them so that questions can be with a challenging level with a low percentage, middle-level questions, and they are the most and simple questions to answer directly, these questions can be at the beginning of the exam to give a boost to the student who takes the exam
